Little about me and who I am. You can read here ABOUT ME and HOW WAS CREATED SINTIJASVIBES

Let’s go back to the beginning. And Let’s then see why niching down doesn’t work for me.

This is why niching down doesn’t work for me: I thrive in variety.

My name is Sintija, and you probably are asking how niching down doesn’t help if EVERYONE is saying that you should niche down to be successful and make money, but if … just if,,, you can’t create content, videos on just one topic? If with time you just give up?

What really is Niche?

Niche for definition, or basically saying in one thing that you are writing about, creating content only about that topic, nothing else.

I believe that understanding why niching down doesn’t work for me is crucial to my journey.

Some examples.

For example, if you like making food and you decide to create a blog or YouTube channel where you share your receipts and how you are making food, that means that you have a Food niche, specific food receipts and if you dig more, you can niche down to healthy food receipts, spice food receipts, or even 1000 calory food receipts, your choice.

Another example is when you decide to create a YouTube channel about building a house, you are good at it and you surely could show many things or just guide new builders through the step-by-step process. That the same, just in this case you have a house-building niche- builder.

Knowing why niching down doesn’t work for me empowers my decision-making process.

There can be so many Niches that you could go for, but what if you like many things and don’t want to limit yourself to only one thing? What do then?

There sure is hard work evolving to creating your small brand, YouTube channel or blog.

I did learn it in hard way, but should you??? I don’t think so.

Let’s then find out why niching down doesn’t work for me. This is my true story… That’s why don’t judge me I am human too.

…..

My story starts in late 2019, yes right when started Covid. We just moved to Ireland, me, my lovely partner Lauris and My son. Lauris started to work, Oliver went to school, but due to the school someone needed to pick up Oliver and as the school was finishing early and I still wasn’t working. I took this job, to be at home, drive Oliver to school and pick him up. And do other things.

However, after some time I was going CRAZY🤪 sitting at home without a job and when you are in a situation as was I, there happens magic.

One evening, sitting and checking my TikTok I found this woman who was talking about blogging, digital marketing and how to make money online and I was thinking to myself why not try, I don’t have everything to lose at all, and that was my first step.

Ultimately, I found that why niching down doesn’t work for me leads to greater creativity.

This was a solution and escape from the boring home life that I had.

I just started.

I didn’t know what was blogging, what was digital marketing or affiliate marketing, Seo, or keyword research, I didn’t know ANYTHING. It all was so strange and unfamiliar to me.

BUT DID IT STOP ME?  NO

That reminds me of this amazing quote:

“Begin today. Declare out loud to the universe that you are willing to let go of struggle and eager to learn through joy.”  what was said by Sarah Ban Breathnach

And it just says –  do it no matter what.

And that is why I just did what I thought was the best thing at that moment.

How did I start blogging?

I didn’t know what was blogging, affiliate marketing or just making videos was. With that being said I was a loser and a COMPLETE BEGINNER in everything.

I did start with learning, researching and just watching as many videos as I could find on Youtube. And what I remember I didn’t have any fears( they came much later). I created my blog sintijaviksnite.com, a logo with flower images and just started writing about digital marketing, and some reviews, applied to some affiliate products, got accepted in them, and created some YouTube step-by-step videos.

At that time it was so huge and I was just going without stopping, but at some point, I just asked myself if this is what I truly wanted. Not long after that, I completely stopped, but this was the longest of all what I was doing.

And it was just start…

After that, I tried creating step-by-step videos about Canva, created my own Etsy store, where I created social media posts,  but it also didn’t go for a long time. I lost my motivation and didn’t get any sales. It just wasn’t what I was expecting.

And I quit. 🥺

Then there was a period when I was starting to buy Crypto, coins, investing and trading. At one point I was thinking this is it, I finally found my calling, but no. It was going well for some months, but in the end wasn’t successful, I didn’t lose much money, but I also didn’t earn anything. Trading and Crypto aren’t getting rich fast, it just isn’t…but that’s okay, you need to be patient with trading, but I am not.

I was just honest with myself.

After that, I started a YouTube channel and streamed a game that I absolutely loved WOW. I created I think 3-4 YouTube videos and was starting streaming to KICK, but here I understood I just like playing this game, that’s all. I didn’t want to invest my time in creating videos, it was time-consuming and in the end,  I got to the point that I didn’t want to play the game, it wasn’t fun anymore.

And then there was this last thing << I will make a website and create NFTs, and sell them >> Idea wasn’t so bad, in fact, it was good, however, I think that here finally came fears –  if this is really what I will do, will it be successful, in the end, will I make money and how long it will last?

And FINALLY, something hit me! … LIKE A ROCK …LIKE BIG ROCK…

Should I EVEN RESTRICT MY SELF? What I wanted in the end was to create a place where I could show up all the time, not only for a short time.

I didn’t want to lie to myself anymore, I wanted to be authentic, I wanted to be myself, I wanted it to be a long game, like VERY LONG GAME

And… My next step…

I picked up my laptop, opened YouTube and just typed in << Starting a blog without Niche >>

And yes it is harder to make money and grow, but in this setup the niche is YOU and you get this amazing opportunity to write your story, your life, your bad and good moments, what did you learned, everything that is about you and your beliefs only.

From this on let’s find out 5 things that I learned from my journey, from my mistakes. And why I truly believe why niching down doesn’t work

First. It’s okay to make mistakes and quit.

From my experience, you can see that I tried so many things, and if you will tell me that I should, I should find my calling / Niche right away from the start.

, Sometimes it just doesn’t go that way. When you start something you can’t be sure that it will last for a long time if you don’t believe it enough. That’s why I am telling ANYONE  that it is okay to quit and try new things. It is okay. It can take time, but in the end, you will find your calling.

Second. It’s okay to have fears when you start something new.

I think that this is something that should be addressed more.

Because, please…

Try to tell me that you don’t feel fear of failure, of losing. And I think most people who are listening to these guru people about how easy it is to make for example money online, have an easy side hustle, where you don’t need extra money or just 2 hours a day, or even a week, to be successful is biggest bulshid that I ever heard.

There is nothing easy about being successful online. And someone who thinks that it is easy and fails, he/she may never come back to try again, because he/she don’t want to feel this feeling. A feeling of losing, wasting money and having expectations that may never work.

It is bad beginning. But it’s okay.

Third. From mistakes that didn’t go as planned, you learned skills. Which you ALWAYS remember.

This is something that I can address confidently. From trying and experimenting with all these beautiful things, I learned skills that

I WOULD NEVER LEARN IF I HADN’T FAIL

I also learned that why niching down doesn’t work for me is about personal expression and personal goals.

And this is a big lesson, because only from failures do we truly learn. Because who would want to make a mistake again and again? In the end, you learn and that is the beauty of failure.

Forth. Don’t quit, just think from another perspective and try out.

When considering why niching down doesn’t work for me, I reflect on my diverse interests.

Sometimes we need time to figure out what we truly want, especially if we are talking about making money online and having an abundance in our lives. No matter if you want to create a personal blog, brand or YouTube channel if your goal is to make money with it you will need time.

Time to learn, time to fail and time to succeed. And there is nothing bad about trying out as many things as you can, till you find your calling, your way.

I tried so many things and yes maybe by this moment I would be successful, but it took me longer, longer to find out why I was failing.

All these thoughts on why niching down doesn’t work for me guide my next steps.

That is why niching down doesn’t work for me. And maybe if you are reading this, it is the same for you as well.

The Fifth and final thing that I learned. Being yourself is more important than anything else because it will not last long if you do not like what you do.

Again, I think I am repeating myself too often now.

But it took me a long time to figure it out, I tried so many things, I learned so many things, and I would not trade the experience and skills that I gained from my time finding me and what I want to do. From the day 1 –  when I found out that I could make it in social media, blog or personal brand, I wanted it so badly. And still want, I want it to work.

BUT FINALLY, I DON’T LIMIT MYSELF

I am myself, I do what I like and you should too.

Being yourself

Sometimes niching down doesn’t work, sometimes you need to be a niche, and sometimes you just need to find what works for you. Why niching down doesn’t work for me, you know I am not sure my self, but I understand that I like various things and I can’t just write about one topic, it’s just not for me.

From my point of view, you need to do what you feel and love.

Let’s finish this article with my last paragraph – why niching down doesn’t work for me.

Why niching down doesn’t work for me and maybe also for you.

If you try to be successful, and it still doesn’t work. You need a different approach.

Because I wanted it so badly, it just wasn’t mine. Now even if I am in the beginning phase I feel like I am in my place, where I can be myself.

And don’t me get wrong – Niching down is the best way to gain a fast following and earn money faster, but it’s not for me. And it is not the only way to make work what you want. For me, it is the freedom that I was looking to do badly, where I can express myself and just start connecting with people with the same experience as mine.

Do you want to niche down? Our you understand that niching down isn’t for you, just add a comment and let’s see how I can help you.

With respect and love Sintija from Sintijas Vibes.
